What is a Griffin?
What is a Griffin? Is it spelt griffin, Gyphon, or griffon?
|
Well, a griffin is a creature with the head, beak, wings and torso
of an Eagle, While the hind courtiers and ears are of a
lion. The Picture to the left is how I see griffins
to be and believe it can tell you in more ways then I
what a Griffin is. The Griffin (as a symbol) signififies
the union of strength and agility. These creatures were extremely sacred to
the Greek god Apollo. They are also supposed to be
the guardians of secret treasures and mines.
I hope, in time, to have more here about
the mythologies of these mighty creatures
